Flu

I'm sorry not to have written for a while. We had our 'Directors' Christmas Lunch' on Monday - which actually wasn't too bad. We went to a French restaurant near Marylebone and had a tasting menu so were able to sample a wide range of dishes. The food was absolutely delicious but I wasn't able to... Relaxing weekend

It's been a relaxing weekend on the whole. Susan's mother was staying with us for a few days last week but went back to Liverpool this morning. She's not easy to have around. Not Christmas yet

We bought some new Christmas tree lights about three weeks ago. Last year's were blinking on and off; the only problem was that they weren't supposed to blink at all. You look as though you need a hug

As regular readers will know, my wife runs a Ballet School. It is run on a community basis and very different to your archetypal dance schools which tend to focus on charging for expensive uniform, making participation in shows compulsory and charging for costumes, and insisting children take exams... Snow in 1947

I was reading in one of the London papers yesterday that 1947 was our worst winter ever (or since records began which are, of course, very different but who or how can they be disputed?) in terms of snow in England. Year End

I'm so sorry not to have written for a few days. We are frantically busy at work trying to sort out our year end accounts. Homespun

We did take 'Maz' out for a spin last night. The children queued up (it's only a 2 seater) patiently as I'd promised Ivan he could be the first to 'test' it. Maz has joined the family

As some of you will have read yesterday, I went to see my acupuncturist to have some work done on my back. Ivan plugs the GAP

Susan and I took Ivan into Cambridge first thing this morning as he had a job interview at the GAP store in town.
