Everything but a win

Well the match last night proved to be a fabulous occasion, as we thought it might. We had a lot of Friday afternoon traffic and someone had set fire to the central reservation on the M62 so there was a good deal of traffic chaos before the game - so much so that the kick off was delayed for fifteen... Leeds United beckons

Christian and I are off to see Leeds United play Preston this evening in the first-leg of the Play-Off semi-final. If we get through these two games we are due to play in the Play-Off final in Cardiff on May 21st. Ivan is at school and not wholly impressed that we're going but we've assured him that... The evening was good too

Following on from my post yesterday we had a lovely spring evening. Christian had football practice and Claire came along. In the winter months she has been staying with my mother for an hour while Christian has rejoiced in rain and wind and calf injuries from the astro turf. I have sometimes braved... Oh what a beautiful morning

I woke up this morning to clear skies and sunshine and immediately it felt good. We were awake for part of the night as an engine was running in the farm or the layby down river which didn't get especially loud but was intrusive enough to break into our dreams. Riding away into the distance

Miss Marple's no mystery to me

We snuggled down to watch a TV adaptation of an Agatha Christie detective mystery last night – the Sittaford Mystery – featuring his masterly creation, Miss Marple. Being reminded

Are they on drugs or are we?

So now it appears that drugs have been found at John Reid’s house. Difficult times

I find it amazing that important 'senior people' in the government should somehow be excused their lack of judgement because of pressure or 'other difficulties.' Is it an age thing

My parents came round for a meal on Easter Sunday and we then played Canasta afterwards and had a thoroughly nice family evening.
