When you play your standings race rival in September games, a win or a loss turns out to be worth two games. 49ers Beat Green Bay in Thriller! Akers Ties Dempsey's FG Record!

It's 10-7 Niners as the first half moves toward a close. The 49ers are deep in Packer territory. The Packers halt the drive and the 49er kicker, David Akers, kicks a 63-yard field goal. If you're a football fan, that 63-yard number should ring a bell. It's the all-time longest field-goal. Even Akers looked shocked when it bounced through. It's San Francisco 16 GB 7 at the half. My Dream Golf Shot by a Young Pro on NBC TV, Right Now!

I just saw the most perfect and gorgeous golf shot, ever. When I was a kid, I used to dream of making this shot. Of course, I never did. It would be a spinning "nine iron" from 80 yards. I cut under it perfectly. It sails beyond the hole by 10 feet. Instead of bouncing, it tenderly merges with the green.
