A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for Saturday, September 9, 2006

I mentioned about a week ago the fact that my college is considering going co-ed. I received a brochure from the college that outlined its position on the matter. The brochure claims that the board had a decision to make: they could remain a women's college and no longer be a "college of excellence," or they could become co-ed and have the means to continue R-MWC as a "college of excellence." Last night R dragged me up to Williamsburg to attend the birthday party of some friends of his from Downstate. First, though, we met some of his friends at this bar in the East Village. What R and I did in looking for these friends, essentially, was walk from Union Square down to Bleecker Street, over to Washington Square Park, up Broadway and back to Union Square again.
