It's been an awful day so far
This morning, on a hunch, I decided to check to see if we had a dial tone on our phone - and we don't. I suspect the problem is nonpayment; we received a cutoff notice from the phone company a while back. Frankly, to put it mildly, I'm not in the best emotional shape right now. What if a medical emergency happened? I might be dead if I can't call 911 under circumstances like this. This might have happened in February if we'd had our phone service cut off then.
