Michael talked about his own fears for his precious Daddy's health this morning in his blog, Michael's Very Own Blog. My husband reported an episode of severely blurred vision this morning. I got worried myself. In addition to being diabetic, my husband has high blood pressure, which can cause its own distinct version of retinal damage if left untreated. Yesterday, I wrote about MTV's 25th anniversary. In that entry - toward the very end of the entry, as a matter of fact - I made a brief reference to a Dire Straits video which contained content spoofing various MTV practices (such as putting videos on light, medium, and heavy rotation). Well, when I wrote that entry, I racked my brains trying to think of the name of the video. Is a "seeker church" a megachurch?
This question was asked by babe_rocks in the comments section in one of yesterday's blog entries. I thought it would be a good idea to expand on my own comments in a separate entry. I regard the "seeker church" as a subset or small portion of the megachurch movement. The term "megachurch" is applied by secular media to churches with very large membership rolls - often churches with thousands or tens of thousands of members.
