Do you know what a "kindle" is? I didn't till I read about it on Amazon.com. It's an electronic book! Well, it's more than one book, if you want it to be. You can download or upchuck, I'm not really sure, over 1,000 books onto a "Kindle" and read them whenever you want. Well, if the battery is charged. Oh and the books cost $9.99. (Why don't they just say ten?) to download. Right now Amazon is offering lots of titles including, of course, all of the best sellers. I like the idea of having that... Sign in to see full entry.

A MIRACLE?
For the first time ever I got my package of cheese open and was able to reseal the rest in the ziplock package it came in! Was this a miracle? I don't know. It's never ever happened to me before. Every other time I have attempted to open the cheese I would start where it say's "tear here." It would tear part way then veer off, I had to get the scissors and cut the top of the package. I tried not to cut into or damage those little ziplock grooves, but I guess I did because they would zip but... Sign in to see full entry.

THE GREAT ESCAPE!
Bo is such a goofy dog. He is always doing something that makes me laugh. Even when he is being naughty he makes me smile. The other day I stepped out onto my front porch pick up a package that UPS had left for me. As I picked it up I could see Bo opening the screen door with his nose. "Neato!" I thought, "Bo is opening the door for me!' The package was big and heavy so the door opening seemed like magic as I carried it inside, "Good Boy!" I told Bo, as I put the package down. I turned around... Sign in to see full entry.

A BLUE STAR?
It's dark outside and really cold. I just came in with Bo-- It's so nice to be inside where it is warm. But looking up into the starry night was a different kind of nice. The stars seem so close I felt like I could reach up and touch them. I tried, but they were just out of my reach. I should get a ladder. Ohh...but there is one that looks almost bright red. Red? Isn't Mars the 'red' planet? I think so. Oh look right under the moon another red star. Is it red or does being under the moon make it... Sign in to see full entry.

WINDOW TREATMENTS
Got a sick window? What are "Window treatments" anyway? Are they cures for when your windows get sick? Does the window cough? Sneeze? Upchuck maybe? WAIT! I don't even want to think about what I justs thought about. So let's get back to treatments. As far as I know widow treatments are either, curtains, drapes, blinds or shutters. No Kaopectate or cough syrup in that list! Whew! Now curtains and drapes really seem to be about the same thing. I know curtains do drape down the window. But I've... Sign in to see full entry.

TIPS FOR HANDLING TELEMARKETERS!
I got these in an e-mail last night and they are soo clever I just had to share them! Tips for Handling Telemarketers (1) Three Little Words That Work!! The three little words are: 'Hold On, Please...' Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt. Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to... Sign in to see full entry.

TRAPPED!
The other day I saw a tape of a guy who was stuck between floors on an elevator for 72 hours! That's three days to you and me! They had a surveillance camera in the elevator so they have footage of everything he did while he was trapped. Yes, there was no one to monitor the camera for three day!. Why even have a camera? They showed a fast forward of him in that little box. He managed to open the elevator door, but all that was there was a brick wall! Now what's so bad about that? I've heard... DRIP DRIP DRIP?
That's the sound of a dripping faucet. Now the first thing you think of to fix a dripping faucet is to put in a new washer. This unusually stops the drip. I've often wondered why no on has tried using a dryer to fix the a drip. I mean after all a dryer should be able to dry up a drip right away! Of course there is the problem of how to get a faucet inside a dryer drum and turn it on. (not the faucet the dryer.) Then there would be the decision of what to set the dryer on-- cotton? polyester?... Sign in to see full entry.

GROCERY STORE GRIDLOCK!
I think the isles at the grocery store ought to be just a little wider. Or we just might experience the first recorded case of grocery basket rage! This is because there is always someone blocking the isle while they decide between brand name cornflakes and the store brand. Now this used to be a no brainer back when the store brand was a whole two dollars cheaper. But now the store brand is only ten cents cheaper and two ounces smaller! This makes the brand name cheaper! Unfortunately it takes... Sign in to see full entry.

TV--THROUGH THE WINDOW?
Do you open your blinds wide at 1 AM to watch your wide screen TV? I don't. But then I don't have a wide screen TV. I do have a HDTV that is large enough to make the den feel like a movie theater when ever I am watching a movie. Also it is nice and cozy when I'm just watching the TV. But I've never ever opened the curtains be it day or night to watch the TV. I guess that is why I found it odd to see the TV through my neighbors window the other night when Bo barked to go out. At first I thought... Sign in to see full entry.
