I like mystery stories. Sometimes there are clues that seem to be important then they turn out not to be important at all. These are sometimes called "red herrings."-- I don't really know why. They're never red--well rarely and they are never fish. Unless the fish was a murder weapon, then they could be. - I've never read a story where the murder weapon was a fish. Have you ever been in the store and found something you want to buy, but you can't tell how much it is? Yeah, there are signs on the shelf where it is, but none of the prices seem to be for the item you want. I found a box of cereal, Post Honeycombs, on the shelf it said $1.97. That seemed like a bargain. So I grabbed a box. Then on my way to the checkout I saw a big display of 'Honeycombs' and the sign said that they were on sale for $2.97- I love it regular price on the shelf $1.97 on sale for... I turned on the TV the other night and found an ad for the "Ab Coaster." At first, since I was just listening and not watching I pictured a coaster, you know the kind you have to put your drink on...only you put your abs on it. I thought that was really weird. I mean really, abs wouldn't make a mark on the coffee table or counter. Why in the world would you need a coaster for them? Then I saw the folks using it. Are you a pin head? Well of course not! You are reading this! That makes you smart and special too! Then if you think about it real pin heads are very small in spite of the fact that lots of angels can dance on them. (I wish they would quit dancing and help people more!) I've heard that there are major arguments about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. I say shoo them off of the pin and put them to work! Have you ever come home from the fair or a circus with one of those colorful pinwheels? I know I have on more than one occasion. Yet right now I don't know where any of them are. I don't remember throwing them away, or giving them away. I actually thought I knew right where I could put my hands on one. I remember bringing it home from the state fair. Paper clips are very handy. They hold important papers together. Also they don't leave holes like staples do. If you get a paper clip stuck on your hand it doesn't bleed. (usually) You also don't have to walk around with something, say a paper, stuck to your hand until you can find someone to help you remove it. Not that that has ever happened to me-- Of course with a paper clip it is a lot easier for someone to lose a page or two. Also with a paper clip there are no tell tale holes in the... The recent beef recalls...Well, they seem to happen more and more often. So often in fact that it makes this article timeless--or not-- It is enough to make you want to become a vegetarian. As a mater of fact it is easy to swear off meat while reading about the recall or watching about it on TV. Then dinner time rolls around and you have a choice, a green chili cheeseburger or a spinach salad. Yum! That cheeseburger sure sounds good! Wait wasn't spinach recalled not too long ago?I think so. I already knew how to brew tea, but I had never thought about cooking with it. Come to think of it tea might just add a neat flavor to food. A tea burger might taste OK. After all people are starting to drink a lot more tea than they used to. I've heard that green tea is good for you. I'm not quite sure why. I think it has to do with someone's Auntie's accidents- Maybe it keeps Auntie from having an accident. I also heard recently about 'white' tea. I've never really seen any white tea. I'll... I used to think that there was no such thing as too many books. Now I'm not quite sure any more. So maybe I'll amend that to you can't read too many books. But you don't have to own all of them. When I first started buying books. I would get a paperback romance or 'gothic' novel about ever other week. Then I switched to mysteries.. Then I added some Science Fiction and Horror. Do you doodle? I mean draw some thing random on a piece of paper or napkin or what ever, when you are thinking about something else? I find I sometimes do this when I'm talking on the phone. Sometimes I'm not even talking but on hold, or trying to figure out what number to push to get a human on the line. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one left in the world.
