Getting back to the storage shed and all the stuff I pulled out of it. By the time I got all the stuff out it was almost dark. And whoops it was supposed to rain that night. So I put the things that could be damaged by rain under the picnic table and the leaned the one undamaged section of the floor against the table. The other stuff I stacked against the house. Now you might want to know, did it rain? It didn't rain that night, but around midnight the wind started to blow. It was blowing hard... Sign in to see full entry.

LOOK!
Can you tell what this is? Shhhhhhh...It is a hummingbirds nest. The branch broke off and was in the yard. I noticed the nest as I was getting ready to cut up the branch and put it in the trash. I think I'll just leave it be. OH, and more about my can of worms tomorrow. Thanks for reading. Can you see the nest? Sign in to see full entry.

A CAN OF WORMS!
They say you shouldn't open up a can of worms. I'm not sure why. Maybe cause you'd never get them back in the can. Then again if they are in a sealed can they would be dead and presumably easy to put back into the can. Oh well. The can of worms I opened was actually the storage shed out back. I had fixed and painted the handles of most of my gardening tools, and I thought I'd just put them in the shed to keep them out of the weather. It 'was' a good idea. But when I opened up the shed I realized... Sign in to see full entry.

LA LLORNA !!!
A ghost story! That is the crying woman...La Llorna! This is a southwest ghost story. It's about a ghost who walks along rivers and streams, really anywhere there is flowing water. She is, you guessed it, crying! She supposedly went mad and threw her children in the water where they drowned! When she realized what she had done she started walking beside the river crying loudly and searching for her kids. No one could get her to stop! Finally she collapsed and died beside the water. The story... Sign in to see full entry.

LUMPY MILK?
Not too long ago I cleaned out my freezer and found some 3 year old frozen fruit bars that were still good! It really amazed me that they were edible. So I was really surprised the other night to find that my milk, that was only 'one' day out of date was bad. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep. So I thought I would have a glass of milk. I got the bottle out of the refrigerator and noticed the sell-by date was yesterday. I opened the bottle and smelled it. Well, it... LINING UP FOR A BATH?
I was on my out to the back yard to finish trimming the grass. I stopped, why there was a puddle of water on the patio? Did it rain and I didn't notice? Then I saw some water splash, and noticed several robins just standing around. There was a robin in the little pan of water I keep out back for the birds. Since there were so many baby birds getting flight lessons from Bo, I put out a little plastic pan of water for them. It's actually the pan that goes under one of my potted plants. Since I... SURGE PROTECTORS & SANITY OR INSANITY!
I was watching a movie, "The Snake Pit," I found it at the library, and it rang a bell as one of the movies on my 'want to see' list. I think that list is somewhere at the bottom of my purse. I've got to clean that purse out someday. Anyway this movie stars Olivia deHavilland as a woman who has suffered a nervous breakdown. As it begins she is in a mental institution. It is one of those movies where it almost seems like you are right there. Seeing what she sees hearing what she hears. Never... Sign in to see full entry.

AN E-MAIL FROM ELVIS?
Well, the name "Elvis" in the 'from' line was enough to get me to open the e-mail! Yes, now I had proof that he is really still alive! I know I saw him at the "Dairy Queen" a few years ago! Alas the e-mail was just a pre-approved credit card with a picture of Elvis on it. Please, I don't need, or want, any more credit cards. If I accepted half the cards they offer me, my wallet would weigh more than I do, in credit cards alone! Of course credit cards are wonderful if only they didn't send you a... HEARING VOICES?
I thought I was hearing voices. Well it was only one voice. It was a sort of one sided conversation, sort of like someone talking on the telephone. Or maybe they were talking to a very soft spoken person. This voice woke me at 3:00AM! At first I thought it was a dream or maybe a ghost or spirit talking to me. But though the voice sounded somewhat familiar I couldn't tell who it was. After a few minutes I woke up enough to tell it was coming through the bathroom window. Maybe one of my neighbors... MONDAY IS WASH DAY. IT'S THE LAW!
When I was little and would stay with my grandparents, every Monday, without fail, grandma would do the wash. She would have clean sheets out on the clothesline even in bad weather. I remember one Monday it had snowed. The whole world had turned white. All the same grandma had her wash out to dry, or maybe freeze. You might say you couldn't tell where the sheets ended and the snow began. But, well, the sheets were actually whiter than the snow! I have often wondered how she did that. Back then I...
