A Kids' Communion

Just finished preparing tomorrow’s simplified Communion service for the primary school. Once a year at Easter, the top class (10-11 year-olds) experience a Communion. Probably the only Communion some of them will ever see. Any children who are confirmed receive the bread and wine, as do any school... Sign in to see full entry.

The Clocks Change...

Yesterday the clocks changed. We sprang forward an hour, which means we have daylight until at least seven thirty tonight and probably eight o'clock. There was a miracle attached to this happening. The Ladyday Service

The Ladyday service with the Deanery Mothers’ Union was yesterday. Ladyday is the also called ‘The Annunciation’, for it’s the day when the Angel Gabriel informed Mary (hence ‘Lady’ day) that she was to become pregnant with Jesus. Beginning to fail?

Took Home Communion to M. today. I haven’t been to her since December, because she was whisked off into hospital in January with a chest infection and remained there for around six weeks or so. Ladyday

Why is it that I always select the wrong gear? Based on yesterday’s glorious weather with warm sunshine from a cloudless blue sky, today I wore a short sleeved shirt and discarded the winter anorak in favour of a much lighter fleece. A glorious cycle ride today down to St Mary's. A New Archdeacon
