I've been focusing on women during my last couple of entries. Now, I'd like to focus on men. The workplace is set up largely by men, for men, in the sense that men have traditionally been expected to pour all their energies into their work at the expense of their families. In medicine, it's not at all unusual to see residents (who used to be mostly male up until recently, and still are mostly male in some specialties) work unholy hours every week - well over one hundred hours. Do we truly have more power nowadays?
This is a continuation of sorts of my earlier post. He was found dead in one of the bathrooms of his Graceland mansion by his live-in lover Ginger Alden. An autopsy later showed that Presley died essentially of a... Sign in to see full entry.
Not THAT again!
My husband is thoroughly sick of JonBenet Ramsey coverage. He and my daughter are thoroughly convinced that the only reason this case gets continued attention is that JonBenet was white, blonde and from an affluent family - and she was a child beauty queen. We have had two little children missing in the Chicago area for several years; my husband is convinced that the only reason this case has not gone national is that the girls are black. They haven't even received much local media coverage... Sign in to see full entry.
