We are now experiencing technical difficulties
I finally opened the email from the webmistress of Slice of Laodicea. It turns out they really were having technical difficulties; she was getting emails similar to mine from regular commentors at Slice, people who cannot be considered deliberately offensive by any stretch of the imagination. I imagine the tone of those emails was much angrier than was mine. Frankly, this is the result I was secretly hoping for, without quite realizing it.
