What could men do?

I've been focusing on women during my last couple of entries. Now, I'd like to focus on men. The workplace is set up largely by men, for men, in the sense that men have traditionally been expected to pour all their energies into their work at the expense of their families. In medicine, it's not at all unusual to see residents (who used to be mostly male up until recently, and still are mostly male in some specialties) work unholy hours every week - well over one hundred hours.
