For weeks on end it was Hot! Hot! Hot! ninety degrees or higher every day. Then it didn't even cool down very much at night. Nightly lows were in the high 70's. I had to run the air all night and still woke up hot! I was beginning to think it would never end. Then one day it did. I woke up to a cool morning. Whew! What a relief! I wonder if the Dutch (artist) Rembrandt knew about Rembrant toothpaste and the whitener strips, would he approve? Would he care? I don't know, but I bet he wouldn't mind a cut of the profits. Of couse since he is long dead the point is moot. The first time I saw the toothpaste it was on the bottom shelf among all the other brands of toothpaste at the grocery. I was watching an old movie. A very sad movie. But I started to laugh here. When I saw that hat I could hear my dad saying, "Oh look she put an old clay pot on her head instead of a hat!" Well, unlike the fries in the movie "Super Size Me" that never did start to spoil, my fries have some white fuzzy stuff growing on them. Can you see it? Is it mold mildew or what? I can't help but wonder why mine started spoiling after one week and the ones in the movie didn't spoil at all in ten weeks. Makes you wonder doesn't it? Thanks for stopping in! Ahhhhhh! He is floating over the city! Don't worry we got him surrounded! (by a few other balloons and storm troopers on the ground!) This was such a wicked cool balloon, I had to post a picture. It actually makes that Darth Vader wheezing sound, (ok that's only the propane tank burn.) It does have 'turning vents' so Darth can turn around and look at you! Yikes! When my seventeen year old Springer Spaniel, Opie, died, I said. "No more dogs!" Ha! Let's face it, animals make a home lighter. I don't mean that they make it float, I mean they make the place more cheerful. Who else is happy chasing their tail and herding the living room rugs into three separate piles? - I found a little dog (?) a "Sheltie" (Shetland Sheep Dog) at the Humane Society in "Roswell" New Mexico. I was thinking about my dad last night as I watched Jay Leno. Dad used to call him Jaw Lean-Oh! So every time I watch the "Tonight Show" and hear them introduce Jay Leno, it makes me smile. Then late last night I was watching an A&E biography of Gene Tierney. When I saw a silhouette picture of one of her husbands', inside my head, I could hear dad's voice say, "I wish had that nose full of nickels! I'd be rich!" I just watched the movie, " Super Size Me" on DVD. It's shocking to learn that a 30 day diet of Mcdonald's can be as dangerous as a drinking binge. I believe he did eat all his meals at Mcdonald's...But did he go on a drinking binge too? He could have. I think the food was the cause of the problems. Mostly because I hate to think anyone would cheat like that. Also because one of the special features on the DVD. The one called "The Smoking Fry" was really creepy.
