Whacky's Corner

I can no longer shop happily. Went in there for the special offers, got lost well in the speciality cheese section. Since my favorite super market "Raley's" closed I have had to shop at either "Smiths's" or "Albertson's." I've been to "Smith's" twice and "Albertson's" twice. I don't really like either one very much. I guess partly because I did only go to "Albertson's" for the special offers. I only went to "Smith's" when I had to pick up a prescription. There is a really creepy commercial on TV where an orange is trying to disguise itself as a box of vitamin C. Then it turns into a scene where two oranges are on what seems to be a psychiatrists couch crying because 'Ester-C' has more vitamin C than they do. WELL WHAT THE HECK? I'd much rather get my vitamin C from an orange than a pill. I do take 'Ester-C' especially during cold and flu season, but this commercial is enough to make me change brands. I was stacking some wood, Ouch! I got a splinter in my finger. I should have worn gloves. But it was just a couple of pieces of wood that fell off the wood pile. It's still nice out, I would have to go inside and find my gloves or get my gardening gloves, then by the time I found them I would have forgotten what it was I needed them for. A few nights ago I couldn't sleep so I turned on the TV I watched late night poker, that might have put me to sleep except they keep clinking their chips. So I switched the station. One station had what I guess is the view from the roof of their station. I watched that for a while. The wind was blowing a tree and one car went by. Other than that nothing else happened. I keep seeing that everywhere I go on the internet. I am always visitor number 999,999! Either that or the one millionth. Sometimes the sign even says "You Won! This is not a joke!" I have to wonder if it's not a joke then what is it? Probably a con. It seems like a long time ago I did click on one of those ads. If I remember right the page never did load. I know my mom told me the only frozen pot pies to buy were "Swanson." So when I bought two "Banquet" pies I should have known something was gonna go wrong. A few nights ago I almost had one of those pies. I'm not sure why I didn't. I guess it was because I had a craving for some macaroni and cheese. Not the kind from a box, but made with real macaroni and real cheese sauce, with two kinds of cheese. As I sat down to eat, I turned on the TV news. Well he didn't start the ride in the front seat. I put him in the back seat of the car. We were going to the park by the library for a little walk. But I had a few errands to run first. My first stop was the bank. I went to the drive up window. It wasn't all that hot a day, but I still didn't want to leave Bo in the car while I went into the bank. I was waiting at a stop light and there was a SUV in front of and to the left of me. I noticed a big puff of smoke from the sun roof of the SUV. Humm...probably some one in there was smoking. But why was it puffing out of the sun roof? Then it happened again. Was someone sending up smoke signals? It seemed like it. But why would a person in a SUV be sending up smoke signals. I went to Wal-Mart after dark the other night. I mainly went to get Bo some rawhide bones. He doesn't believe me when I tell him we are out. He just keeps begging with those big sweet eyes. I either had to get him some, or run and hide from him. The hiding thing just doesn't work. He always finds me. So I had to go out for dog bones. If talking on the phone could power a car, there would be a lot of talk powered cars. Well, I guess there could be. Almost everywhere I go I see people driving and talking on the phone. As a matter of fact anytime I see a car weaving back and forth down the road I can predict that the driver is talking on the phone. If we could just capture the energy expended talking on the phone maybe we could power the car with it and end the energy crisis. Yeah, also I would like to see yak power produce...
