THE HARVEST MOON!

Well, it was! Until it went behind the clouds. Maybe the clouds floated in front of the moon. In either case it made for some bright clouds! Well, I guess I'd better go get the rest of the crops in. (OK. There is one tomato and a couple of radishes. I'll have a salad tomorrow.) A smile and rose from me and Bo =^..^= the wonder dog! Sign in to see full entry.

KINKY! KINKY!

That's what it was. Every time I tried to use my garden hose it got 'kinky.' I have one of those hose reels that is supposed to help keep the hose from getting kinked. Yet every time I pulled the hose out to water the planter on the far side of the driveway, the hose would kink up at least twice. Once when I was unreeling it, and again when I reeled it back in Then just last week I noticed water squirting up in the air where it wasn't supposed to be squirting. Tracing the water to its source, I... Sign in to see full entry.

DAYTIME TV

OK, you may know I watch soap operas. I usually record them to watch at night. So I am not used to watching the commercials. A few days ago I was home and not feeling well. So I decided to sit down and watch the shows live. Well, I was alive I think. The show started then a few minutes later the commercials came on. I found myself picking up the remote and trying to fast foward through them. Darn! It didn't work. The ads were driving me nuts. So I used the remote to MUTE them. Then I timed each... SEWING BASKETS!

I have several sewing baskets, but the one I use most is my favorite. I guess I use it most because it is my favorite. Or maybe it is my favorite because I use it most. Either way it has all the things I need to do emergency repairs and even everyday mending. I went to this sewing basket when I needed a needle and thread to stitch a new lining in the den drapes. I found a needle but had to go to one of the other sewing baskets for the thread. I have one sewing basket that has mostly thread. It... Sign in to see full entry.

IT'S JUST A BLISTER!

I have a blister on my hand between my thumb and my forefinger. I really didn't even notice it until after it burst, uh busted, oh whatever. All I know is all of a sudden my hand felt wet and it hurt! I stopped what I was doing and examined the painful red spot on my hand. It didn't hurt as much when I stopped raking. So I figured I'd just finish up. I was raking up some dead grass old leaves and bits of branches that a recent storm had blown into the yard. There wasn't much so I didn't bother... DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!

As I was looking through the DVDs at the library the other day, I discovered they had the whole set of the first season of "Desperate housewives." Wow! Six discs. That should keep me busy for a while. So I checked them out. There was at least one good reason for watching the whole first season. Many actually, I had always wondered why the narrator "Mary Alice" killed herself in the first episode. There were other holes in the plots that I thought I could figure out if I could see all the... WORDS, PICTURES, AND BO!

They say that a pictures is worth a thousand words. That's true in so many ways and yet where would we be with out words? Well for one thing this page would be blank. OR maybe there would be some pictures on it. In a way words are pictures and vice versa. Anyway I have recently noticed something that I guess, I already knew. That is a lot of pictures don't do their subjects justice. For instance a picture of the grand canyon just doesn't convey the awesome majesty of the place. You might get a... ANTIQUES ROADSHOW?

You know the past dozen times I have turned on our local PBS station it has been showing "Antiques Roadshow." If you never heard of it, well, people line up with things they have found in the attic or where ever. Then these antique appraisers tell them if it is worth anything or not. It's really a pretty good show. Almost like a game show. You never know who is going to hit the jack pot. "Where did you find this?" The appraiser will ask of what looks like a big ugly black and grey sculpture.... Sign in to see full entry.

LITTLE DRIPS?

Drip! Drip! Drip! It wasn't coming from the kitchen or even the bathroom sink. Drip! Drip! Drip! It was raining. Maybe the drips were coming from outside. Uh oh the window is closed. Is it still raining? I opened the window to see. Can't tell it's dark out, gets that way at night you know. I could hear the pitter pater of rain falling on the leaves just outside the window. Although they sound like that when the wind is blowing sometimes. Guess I'll have to go to the door and look out to see if... Sign in to see full entry.

ON THE SAME AISLE ?

I was in the library the other day. I had found the book I wanted, but when I headed out there was a guy blocking my way. I could either wait, try squeezing past him or just go around and down the next aisle. Since I figured the guy is still there, I don't think he found what he was looking for, but he just kept looking and looking and, well you know. So I just moseyed around the corner and down the next aisle. I don't know what is wrong with me, but I can't walk down an aisle of books without... Sign in to see full entry.
