Well, it's official, Bo has been microchipped. When I first heard about this I really didn't like the idea. Maybe because it was mentioned along with tattoos as a permanent ID. Tattoos just seemed too much like branding. It would hurt, and it made me think of Nazi concentration camps. So for a while I just left Bo with his rabies tag which was also his city tag, and of course the gold plated tag with his/my name address and phone # on it. Are the minutes after the sun comes up the brightest or are the brightest just before the sun sets? Maybe high noon is. I'm not sure. To me the brightest part of the day sometimes has nothing to do with the sun. it's a different time, place or event each day. Some days it is waking up to a brilliant reddish pink and blue sunrise. Is Bo a wonder dog? Well, I think so. Of course he is at my feet looking at me like I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know I'm not. But I have to agree with the person who said, "I hope to be half as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!" So I've fooled my dog. Does that make him a wonder dog? Maybe not, but there are times I have to wonder if he is really a dog at all. Sometimes I look into his eyes and I swear there is a little person in there. If I could just find the zipper... I was just wondering, is there such a thing as a pink daisy? I've always thought of daisies as a white flower with a yellow center. I guess they could be any color as long as they are daisy shaped. What is daisy shape? Well, they are sort of like the sun. They're round with petals coming out all around, sort of like the rays of the sun. This year I got the air conditioners all set up and working early. Then it hasn't been hot enough to use them. That is until the other day. The house got hot and stuffy, so I turned them on. One turned on and worked just fine. The other one made a spark at the switch and nothing happened. Darn. I figured that the motor had blown out. Of course I knew I could get a new motor at Wall-Mat for less than $100.00. I had seen them there when I bought the other supplies to hook up the air conditioners.... Sign in to see full entry.

Do you ever take a nap? I sometimes do. On these hot summer days by about 4:00 PM it's so hot the only thing you can do is sit still under the air conditioner. Since it was four o'clock, I turned on the TV. Oprah is on at four. I watched for a while. Oprah's doctor was giving a test to see what your real age is. I got the first two questions right. Then the commercials came on my eyes grew heavy and I fell asleep. I didn't wake up until I heard the loud beeping of the Action 7 news comings on..... Sign in to see full entry.

Squeeeaaak! Well, that' s the sound of Bo's squeaky ball. Now here is an interesting fact: Did you know that a squeaky ball stops squeaking when it is covered in snow and frozen solid? It does. The really great thing is when it thaws out and dries, it starts squeaking again. It doesn't bounce quite as high a it used to, but that will help keep it in the yard. My vacuum was making a lot of noise but leaving the dog hair, leaves and dust on the rug. I checked the dust bag and put in a new one. That helped a little. Then it dawned on me that the roller brush wasn't working! All I needed was a new belt. Already? I just changed it five years ago. I'll have to figure out how to do it again. At least I had a new belt on hand. I remember seeing it on the shelf when I got the new bag. Now I just have to remember to buy another one so that I'll have it the... Sign in to see full entry.

OK Now Sunsweet is making a can of prunes that are all individually wrapped, "just like candy!" The last time I ate candy that did what prunes do, it was chocolate ex-lax. Come to think of it, that didn't taste very good at all. On the TV commercial people are raving about how the individually wrapped prunes are so sweet and juicy. Well if you want juicy why not eat the plum before it dries out and turns into a prune? Another thing I have to wonder about is how much do they charge for these... Sign in to see full entry.

makes me sweaty! Sunshine in my eyes can make me blind! There is something special about sunshine. I noticed this last winter when, even though the temperature was below freezing, I could stand in the sunshine and feel warm. There is something wonderful about that. I remember putting on my coat to go outside and put something in the trash cart before the truck came to pick it up. I had to walk through almost a foot of snow to the curb.
