Sniff sniff! I smell wet dog! You might be thinking that I gave my little dog, Bo, a bath. Well I didn't. What I did was cut the grass in the back yard. How did that end up getting the dog wet? Well, after I cut the grass I turned on the sprinkler. Then as I came in the house I let Bo out. I don't let him out while I am cutting the grass because he barks at the lawn mower and tries to get me to stop. Of course that's what he does in the house when I am trying to vacuum. I was just thinking, there are an awful lot of different kinds of pickles. Just now a goofy guy on TV took a silver holder out of his pocket and pulled a pickle out of it to go with his hamburger. The woman sitting next to him asked, "Where did you get that pickle?" "I brought it from home." Is his answer. "What it's natural." I saw a commercial on TV the other day where a whole herd of cows run to avoid a single cloud in the sky. The message at the end was, "California cows are happy cows." I think they were kind of neurotic running away from a little rain cloud! That's nuts! Then just today I was looking up at the sky and there was a bunch of white fluffy clouds. I am out in my back yard under the tree. I'm listening to a robin sing and some other birds who seem to be talking about me. They are saying "cheap cheap' or 'chip chip.' Either they think my lawn furniture is cheap or they want some kind of chips. I've got corn chips and potato chips. What other kind of chips are there? Tortilla chips are a lot like corn chips except they are bigger. They're good for scooping up dip. Onion dip, green chili dip or my favorite guacamole dip. I think I like... I remember my dad telling me about the dog food he would feed his dog. It was called "Red Hart" dog food, and came in cans. It cost ten cents a can. Dad claimed that the cans said it was fit for humans. He also told me he tasted it, and it wasn't bad. I think I remember that dog food too. I'm not sure how much it cost but I remember seeing mom open the can at both ends and pushing the big can shaped chunk out into Skipper's dog bowl. There is a theory that a butterfly flapping its wing in NM will eventually cause a hurricane on the other side of the world! I'm a bit worried because in the few minutes I was outside dozens of butterflies fluttered by.They were all flapping their wings! I just wonder, does that mean I just watched the start of a dozen hurricanes? Yikes! I wonder if I should try and stop them? I don't think I can. They flutter by too fast. You probably know that I often talk to my little dog, Bo. If you have ever had a dog or any pet you probably have talked to them too. Most people would say that the animals don't talk back. Well they do. They may not use words, but most animals can get their message across with out words. I can usually tell what Bo is saying by the way he looks at me. He communicates. I have a bone to pick with Martha Stewart. Well, there really is no bone, and if there was I wouldn't pick it. So I guess that's just an expression. Well, I just happened to turn on the TV the other day and Martha was talking about how she does her laundry. "Oh sure," I though. "She does her own laundry." Yes, sometimes I just let my mind wander. I know that could be just a bit dangerous, but it hasn't gotten away. Yet. Well, maybe it has but it came back. I think.
