OK, so sometimes I'm not so smart. But am I a bird brain? Come to think of it, birds are really smart. Why just seconds after I fill the bird feeder they show up like people lining up for the all you can eat dinner buffet. People find out about the buffet through ads on TV, the radio, or newspaper. Birds don't have that. Although some do have newspapers, but those are usually pet birds. They don't need to know when the feeder will be filled, cause it's right there in their cage. Wild birds... TALKING APPLIANCES?
I just saw a commercial where a refrigerator told a woman that her vegetables were still fresh! A talking refrigerator! Mine makes too much noise as it is. I don't want it talking to me! I especially don't want it checking on the vegetables. I can do that thank you! Of course sometimes when I check on my vegetables I find that they have turned into science experiments. Occasionally I am surprised to discover that they are still edible. Well, they seem to be at first, then I notice the green blob... Sign in to see full entry.

NO BEES?
Have you read the reports that say the bees are disappearing? The one I read says they think that cell phone transmissions are interfering with the Bees' ability to navigate. Bees are getting lost because of cell phones? At first I thought, that sounds weird. Why would bees want to talk on a cell phone? Then I read further in the article and found that all that were left in the bee hives were Queens as a matter of fact quite a few Queens. No drones or workers at all or very few. Humm...I wonder... ROSES?
Someone once said "A rose is a rose is a rose." Whoever it was, must have been talking about plastic roses or maybe silk ones. That's because all fake roses are a lot alike. Real roses are all different. Although some of them are almost phoney looking in their perfection. It used to be that you could tell a real rose from a fake one by just sniffing. (Hey did you see the Scratch and sniff episode of "My Name Is Earl" the other night? I saw it but didn't have the scratch and sniff card.) What was... Sign in to see full entry.

SPIDERS?
Did you know that where ever you are there is probably a spider less than three feet away from you? I read that somewhere. I just wonder if the spiders are any more aware of me than I am of them. I know every once in a while I'll look up or over and see a spider up on the wall or hanging on a door jam. If I am inside I usually get my feather duster and carefully transfer the spider outside. (Don't tell anyone, but sometimes I talk to them and tell them they will be much happier outside where... Sign in to see full entry.

SEA SHELLS?
They say if you hold a sea shell up to your ear you will hear the ocean. This is especially true if you do it while still standing on the beach. That's because the ocean is right there! Duh! Now if you listen to a sea shell back home in your living room you do hear something. At first I thought it was my imagination, but it did sound a little like the swishing of the ocean waves! Then it dawned on me I was hearing the echo of my heart beat and the swish of the blood in my ears. At least that is... Sign in to see full entry.

BOBBLE HEADS?
Are you nodding? I don't intentionally collect bobble heads. I rarely even think about them. Yet for someone who doesn't collect them I have quite a few. They just fall into my cereal bowl when I least expect it. There is a Mickey Mouse that my mom really liked.. She kept him on top of her clock radio, right next to her miniature Energizer Bunny. The bunny used to light up and beat his drum, but his battery died and we could never figure out how to change it or even where it was. So the bunny... Sign in to see full entry.

I LIKE TO WALK IN THE RAIN?
OK, I didn't intend to go walking in the rain. When I started out the sun was shining, I noticed there were a few clouds sneaking up from the west, but I thought they would behave themselves and float on by, like good clouds. I was wrong. I had my little dog, Bo in the car and we drove to the library. I returned some books and picked up a couple that were on hold. Bo stayed in the car while I ran in with my books. I would have taken him in but I have a feeling that as soon as a librarian spotted... Sign in to see full entry.

TRASH BAGS?
HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY! Have you seen the commercial for trash bags where it shows the earth being bombarded by meteors and they are all being caught and held back by a giant trash bag that just stretches and stretches but never breaks? What a load of garbage! OK. I was fool enough to think maybe they were better than my regular el-cheapo brand. So I tried them. If they can stop meteors hurtling toward the earth, why can't they hold in a jar of moldy plumb preserves that crashed right through the... Sign in to see full entry.

INSIDE A RAINBOW?
I've never been inside a rainbow, but I think it would be a real neat place to be! I wonder would it smell like rain or fruit skittles? A friend of mine claimed she was at the end of the rainbow one time. I was talking to her on her cell phone. She was in her car on her way home. She lives up in the mountains and she told me it had just started raining. Then she said she could see a rainbow just ahead. "I'm about to drive into it!" She said. "Wow! If you see the pot of gold grab it!" I said. I... Sign in to see full entry.
