When I walked into Wal-Mart I was greeted by the heavenly smell of fresh popcorn! They were making it in the snack bar. I had lots of things to get so I walked on by. I bought all the things on my list. Then as I started to leave the smell of the popcorn called me. So I put my stuff in the car and went back for popcorn. OK. Maybe there isn't a whole lot of Boogie Woogie in this piece. I just put in the boogie and the woogie cause they make me smile. Also if I say it real fast Bo, my dog, will run around, bark and almost do the boogie woogie. Then since he is my bagel boy it fits together. Since the prices went way down after Christmas I bought a little 20" LCD HDTV for the kitchen. It takes up almost no space on the table and has an incredibly clear picture when it picks up one of the all too few high def broadcasts. I had noticed that a lot of shows claim that they are being broadcast in HD. The problem is the local stations don't have or use HD equipment so all we get is the patched regular picture. Our state legislature meets in what they call 'the round-house.' Now when I used to listen to reports about the lawmakers, I thought they called it 'the round-house' because for the most part all the state senators and reps do is run round and round without actually doing much law making. I still think that is at least partly true. The original reason it is called 'the round-house' is because the building is round! It's built in the shape of the state symbol, the ZIA! I finally broke down and bought a new 2007 calendar. I know that I bought a cute puppy one for 99 back in July or August of last year. I brought it home and put it in a real good place. Too bad I can't remember just where that place is. I've looked high and I've looked low, but I still haven't found it. I've looked in drawers and file cabinets between books and under beds. I am still wondering about all the changes they have made to US curency. Why does the US mint keeps changing the money? I have heard that it is to make it harder to counterfeit. It looks to me like they are making it easier. The money is beginning to look a lot like monopoly money! The first time I got one of those bluish/yellowish ten dollar bills I almost refused it, thinking it was an obvious fake. But since I was in a bank, I figured it must be real. I've never seen a plugged nickel, but all the new nickels really do get me confused. I get the new nickels and new quarters mixed up. They do look a lot alike! I thought I gave the checker 35, a quarter and a dime---But she screamed 'this is fifteen cents!" Then threw the nickel at me! It missed. "I'm sorry!" I said. "Just take it out of the twenty." For the past week there has been a new dog in my neighbors back yard. It seems like this dog spends every waking hour barking. I don't think my neighbor is home or she would do something about him. Of course when Bo, my sheltie, is outside he has to answer back to that dog. He has taken to jumping up on the picnic table and barking off in every direction.
