During the last snow storm I discovered that dog's, well my dog Bo anyway, have water or snow proof fur. It's kind of neat. he would go out in the snow and come back covered with it. But the snow was on the fluffy ends of his fur. When I dried him off only the ends were wet. Right next to his skin he was always dry! His fur acted almost like a raincoat, or in this case a snow coat. That sounds like he has a coat made of snow. It is more like a coat that keeps the snow from the inner dog. Wait a... Well, that should be garage door opener repair. When the door first refused to go up I thought, "Oh no! It's frozen shut!" Since pushing on the remote button didn't seem to do anything. I pulled the release handle and was surprised when I was able to lift the door up and open it. I backed the car out then went back to close the door by hand. I didn't do it from the outside...I learned the hard way that since there are no handles on the outside the only way to lower the door from there is to grab... Sign in to see full entry.

I've got a great big lump of ice out on my driveway. The rain gutter above the garage leaks and has managed to drip and form a big ice hill...almost.. yes... an ICEBERG! When I backed my car up over the iceberg I wondered if I was gong to make it. I did it slipped a bit but didn't even crack...It's solid! At least my car didn't sink like the Titantic! Now that iceberg shouldn't have formed at all, because I put ice melt/salt on the driveway under the drips. I guess it either got washed away or... Sign in to see full entry.

ONIONS! I think I smell onions! It's early morning and I just turned the on coffee pot. I should be smelling fresh brewed coffee. So where is the onion smell coming from? Hey! Maybe it's the trash can. I peeled and diced an onion yesterday. But I am sure I took the trash out before I went to bed. Maybe some onion got stuck to the side of the trash can. I'll look. Nope. AHhh! I just opened my gas and light bill for last month! Groan...Sigh! Sniff...sniff. Umm...Excuse me while I go turn off a few lights and lower the temperature in here. Now....What else can I do about this bill. Wonder how much is in that big coffee can of coins I have been saving. I was saving up for a big screen TV, but paying the electric bill should come first. That is what I kept hearing when I was out shovelling snow this afternoon. I had been going out and working about 15 minutes every hour or so to clear the snow off my driveway. I had it clear enough to get my car out. So I was working on the path to the trash cart. "Help!" I heard it again. It seemed to be coming from my neighbor's roof. That couldn't be! Yikes! It's snowing again the third time in as many weeks! I just barely got last week's snow shovelled off the driveway. That was from a record breaking snow just before New Years. I'm not used to a foot and a half of snow! In all honesty even a dusting of snow can shut down the city. Not many people around here even have a clue how to drive in the snow. DON'T TALK BACK! Almost every time I go to the library I notice the sound of people tap tap tap click clak clacking on the computers. The computers are just a few feet away from the shelves where they have the DVD movies. The last few times I have been there looking for a movie, there has been someone who was tapping away so fast on the computer keyboard I was worried the plastic keys were going to melt! Do you ever get different actors or actresses mixed up? I do. I was watching a preview of a movie called "Everything Is Illuminated." As I watched I was sure the featured actor was that guy who plays Spiderman. But then they announced that his name was Elijah Wood. I am pretty sure that is not the guy from Spiderman. Let me go look. Yeah, I looked it up in my TV guide to the movies, and Tobey Maguire plays Spiderman. He sure looks a lot like Elijah Wood or Elijah looks a lot like him. I wonder... Everyone makes mistakes, or so I've been told. I know I've made my share...well maybe more than my share. Though I do know one or two people who say they never, or rarely make a mistake. These people usually make mistakes that make mine look good. But they always have an excuse or someone else to blame it on. Usually both. I try to avoid these people.
