A solar flashlight sounds like a really good idea. Then I thought about it. The flashlight would be powered by the sun. But when the sun is out you don't need a flashlight. Then when the sun is down and it is dark there isn't any power for the flashlight! I think that is what they call a catch-22. maybe it is a catch-23 or 24 or whatever. They say that midnight is the witching hour. I know it is the end of one day, and at the same time the beginning of a new day. Blink! In the blink of an eye old becomes new! New Years eve at midnight ends one year, a whole year...then begins a new one. At exactly midnight for just a second, we are living in two years at once! That sounds almost mystical. OWW! My shoulder hurts. I think I may have pulled a muscle shovelling snow yesterday. I started out to just shovel enough to get the trash cart back up to the house. But since the garbage truck had dropped it in the middle of the street there was lot more snow to clear than when I put the cart out. Also I wanted to get the trash cart in before some rocket scientist came slip sliding down the street and hit it. I might never see it again! How many times from early November to mid-January do we get to hear that commercial? The gift for the person on your list when you don't know what else to get them. A Chia pet. Now I have to admit I've never gotten one. Also I have never given one as a gift. It might be fun to soak the chia, spread the seeds and watch them grow. Then what happens? People occasionally tell me to 'get a clue.' The problem is I am not sure where to get one. Then if I find a clue, should I get more than one? You know, in case of emergencies. I never know when I am going to need one. A clue store...now that is a good idea. A dollar clue store is even a better idea. I was outside painting the gate. Well not the whole gate, just the cross supports. I think that is what you call them. I wanted the gate to look nice. I kind of remembered my grandpa had his gates painted different colors. One color for the main part, another for the supports. (sort of like this) (Yes, this is the gate.) I can't help it. I keep thinking about those drawing boards I saw at "Hobby Lobby" the other day. I keep thinking I could maybe make one out of some of the scrap lumber my dad had in the woodbox at the side of the house. Now I know there are several boards the same length. I could glue those together to make the top. Now how am I going to make the legs? I've got it! Popsicle sticks! I'll glue a bunch of them together to make legs...Ummm. well maybe not. So here I sit---Waiting for an idea to hit me. Hummm...nothing yet--Sigh...Still nothing...dum de dum dum dum. Yawn...Hummm? I never noticed that. I have a hole in my shoe! I noticed it because I was stretching my legs and suddenly could see where the sole attaches to the rest of the shoe. There is a big ol' hornking gap!
